What you will do

As a Project Manager at Bouter Bouw, you will be responsible for the entire delivery of our retail and construction projects. You will maintain oversight, manage deadlines and lead teams and subcontractors. As the main point of contact for clients, you will ensure projects are delivered on schedule and meet our high quality standards.

Your responsibilities

• Maintain contact with clients, architects and consultants.
• Lead construction meetings and monitor the overall project programme.
• Carry out site surveys, prepare cost estimates and record additions and omissions to the scope of work.
• Purchase materials and coordinate subcontractors.
• Manage site supervisors and tradespeople on a day-to-day basis.
• Monitor quality and costs throughout each project.
• Identify and resolve technical construction challenges.
• Complete project administration, including invoicing and financial close-out.

What you bring

We are looking for someone with proven experience and a strong sense of responsibility. You communicate clearly, work in a structured way and can oversee several projects at once. You move easily between project preparation, site delivery and client contact, and feel at home in a role that combines independence with teamwork.

• At least three years of experience as a project leader or project manager in construction.
• Experience matters more than formal qualifications, but a sound understanding of construction is essential.
• A clear, professional and approachable communication style.
• Technical insight and a practical approach to solving problems.
• The ability to engage, lead and motivate a team.
• Preferably based within 50 km of Leiden.
• The ability to maintain oversight when several things are happening at once.
